WI* – The skin of trees
Project for a communion dance in the forest, for three dancers
Wi – La peau des arbres is about putting man back in his more rightful place. A species among species, part of a whole that goes beyond him entirely, incapable of keeping pace with the speed of an oak or a torrent, of listening to the words of the wind or the voice of the bark.
Even during the day, it is said that the average forest walker will only stray a hundred metres or so from a waymarked path. What can you say about a show that takes you much further, into the middle of the trees, inviting you to experience the end of the day and part of the night? Where are the sources of anxiety, peace, wonder, surprise and fear in this almost unknown world?

The dance will be born from this sum of physical and sound experiences in contact with the trees, the water in streams, mists or rain, the leaves and mosses gathered here and there.
It will seek to appear and disappear, to blend into the landscape or reveal it in a different way. Stealthy passage or mineral slowness, the panic of prey or the art of posing, waiting and camouflage.
She will also try to take on different identities, different bodies and different powers, all inherited from the world of Faerie.
