NA – Company Pernette
Founded in 2001, NA / Nathalie Pernette is one of the leading companies in the development of the contemporary French choreographic scene for young audiences. Its shows are presented in major national theatres (Théâtre de la Ville, Opéra Bastille, Théâtre de Chaillot, national and regional venues, etc.), and at festivals for all audiences and young audiences (ZAT Montpellier, Viva cité, Scènes de rue, Chalon dans la rue, Coup de chauffe, Momix, etc.). The aim of this wide distribution is to make dance known and loved, and to do away with prejudice and reticence wherever possible.
The company’s creative activity, marked by a taste for experimentation and encounters, has always taken different paths, from the venue to the public space, via unusual locations. It also cultivates contact with other artistic disciplines such as the visual arts and live music…
Based in Besançon in eastern France, the company runs numerous workshops with schools in the region. Its work is performed indoors, in nature or in urban spaces, for audiences ranging from early childhood to adulthood.

Nathalie Pernette
Challenge, blows received and given, hand-to-hand with the invisible, a harsh energy chiselled by meticulous movement… As well as manipulating the other’s body to capture its articular mobility, Nathalie Pernette anchors movement in spontaneity, an emotional release nourished by inner sensation.
For this dancer-choreographer, born in 1965 in Le Creusot, France, trained in classical dance from childhood, dance takes shape, swift and full of sharp angles. Instinct and rigour against a backdrop of constant questioning. Her passage through the school of Françoise and Dominique Dupuy only confirms this fondness.
After twelve years working with Andréas Schmid, she founded her own company in 2001, retaining the repertoire of her previous creations.
On stage and off, always on the alert, Nathalie Pernette never stops testing her hypotheses and tracking down her obsessions. At length, passionately, with the kind of lucidity that befits a true seeker who is never satisfied. In eighteen years and twenty-two shows (including six choreographies in tandem with Andréas Schmid), Nathalie Pernette has made time her main luxury, work her virtue, and a playful touch her singularity.
Soutiens et récompenses
Claire Parsons Co. reçoit un soutien à long terme du Conseil suédois des arts, du Conseil culturel de la ville de Stockholm, du Conseil régional de Stockholm et du Comité suédois des subventions aux arts. En 2015, la compagnie a reçu le prestigieux Swedish Theater Critics’ Award pour Marmalade. En 2016, Claire – en tant que première chorégraphe suédoise travaillant pour le jeune public – s’est vu attribuer une bourse de travail de dix ans par le Comité suédois des subventions artistiques. En 2018, elle a reçu le prix Cullberg de la ville de Stockholm pour ses réalisations exceptionnelles dans le domaine des arts du spectacle.

Project for a communion dance in the forest, for three dancers
Wi – La peau des arbres (The skin of trees) is about putting the human being back in a more appropriate place. A species among species, part of a whole that goes beyond him entirely, incapable of keeping pace with the speed of an oak or a torrent, of listening to the words of the wind or the voice of the bark.
For fear, for lack of landmarks, and even during the day, it seems that a walker in the forest will only stray an average of a hundred metres from a signposted path. What can we say about a show that takes us much further afield, among the trees, and invites us to experience the end of the day and part of the night? Where are the sources of anxiety, peace, wonder, surprise and fear in this almost unknown world?

Show for all ages from three upwards
Three square metres of forest placed on a theatre stage, Murmures will be the fruit of this observation…
Here, Nathalie Pernette will offer us a glimpse of the visible and invisible, patient and discreet life of the forest world. We will encounter plant, animal and mineral life, and fantastic and magical spirits. Murmures will appeal to young and old alike, and will offer several levels of interpretation: between dreams and nightmares, a world that’s as much about the bizarre as ever.
