Running like a maniac down the street. Sweat dripping, backpack bouncing around, no good shoes for the sprint. If you just make it around the corner… Oh, no! There are the rear lights of the bus leaving your stop. Missed it. How will you pass the time until the next bus arrives?

A bus stop… the social, anti-social hub of passing people. Everyone is going somewhere and that somewhere is never here. And here we are all together: waiting for the bus.

Who are these strangers hanging about? What is their story?
And, especially why is this person so close to me?

I need to keep the proper distance to the others. I need to entertain myself in an invisible way. I need to not over stress because I’m late. There are a million rules about what we can and can’t do while at a bus stop. Do we all follow the same rules?

Just Stop is a street performance that happens at and around a working bus stop. People will come and go, some will stay for longer than expected while others will come only to see the show. From a humorous standpoint and using dance, movement and physical theater, we question what a bus stop is, how we use it and the meetings we can have there. We will invite the audience to join us while we rediscover this awkward and fun space exploring our social limits.

Don’t worry… we can do this! It’s just a bus stop.
